Session: Amplifying Creativity: A Remote-First Approach to Solution Ideation Workshops
When we envision solution ideation workshops, we often picture a team working synchronously in a room, likely sketching low-fidelity designs, and voting to build consensus on which ideas to pursue. When our work landscape shifted to remote and hybrid work, many of us re-created these meetings digitally, only to experience the same workshops feeling less productive when held over videoconference. In this talk, I'll share how adjusting my remote workshop format led to my teams generating better, more creative ideas, accompanied by supporting evidence from neuroscience and psychology research on creativity. Whether your team is remote, hybrid, or in-person, this talk will share new tactics for running ideation workshops that lead to more creative ideas, happier development teams, and better outcomes for your users.
