New Relic is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join our Corporate FP&A team! The successful candidate will be a fast learner with high attention to detail and structured in their approach. They will be able to manage multiple assignments/requests/processes concurrently, prioritizing accordingly, and delivering timely results. They will be able to collaborate effectively with internal end-users and cross-functional teams with a combination of financial skills and analytical tool skills. This is an exciting opportunity that offers a rotational experience across various teams within FP&A, potentially culminating in a position on a specific FP&A team.  
What you'll do
  • Assist in the preparation and analysis of financial reports, budgets, and forecasts to support decision-making
  • Collect, organize, and maintain financial data using analytical tools to ensure accuracy and accessibility
  • Utilize financial software and analytical tools (e.g., Excel, SQL) to conduct data analysis and generate insights 
  • Provide ad-hoc analytical support for special projects as required, assisting different FP&A team members with data interpretation
  • Generate regular reports on financial performance, highlighting trends and variances for management review, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement
This role requires
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics
  • 5+ years of working experience in either accounting or finance
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint or Google equivalents
  • Bonus if proficient in Salesforce, Tableau, Zuora, Basic SQL or data query skills, Anaplan/Forecasting tool 
  • Excellent verbal, analytical, written communication, and interpersonal skills. 
  • Self-starter with exemplary organizational skills. Must possess a “can do” attitude. 
  • Demonstrated experience of successfully executing against tight deadlines, with a collaborative mind-set. 
  • Must be able to skillfully prioritize and manage concurrent projects and issues. 
  • Experience in working with cross-functional/cross-departmental and virtual teams.
