Bloomberg Intelligence ("BI") is part of Bloomberg's broader research department and has nearly 500 professionals working across all major world markets. Our coverage includes over 2,000 equities and credits as well as outlooks on more than 90 industries and 100 market indices, currencies and commodities. BI is now one of the largest investment-related research providers globally.
BI's research is comprised of written analysis and interactive charting and analytics created with a vast set of company, industry and government data. Analysts and strategists use a combination of traditional tools as well as python, AI and other innovative approaches to analysis. The research and data are "live" on the Bloomberg Terminal, providing users a unique ability to interact with and analyze the data.
- We are hiring for a multimedia/video editor to join Bloomberg Intelligence’s research content team for an initial 12 months contract, based in our London office. This team is focused on elevating commercial impact, driving engagement and broadening awareness of BI’s global investment research insights, and has members in London, New York and Hong Kong. Videos for social media and/or research and podcasts are important parts of our work, and we are looking for a new addition to the team to add expertise so that we can produce more content with higher quality and creativity. Most assignments are under a tight deadline related to timely research topics, TV hits and podcast publishing schedules. There is also significant opportunity to work on new projects and help us raise our game across multimedia offerings.
We’ll trust you to:
● Edit video elements that include but are not limited to:
- Short 3-5 minute video insights
- Videos featuring analysts discussing Deep Dive report conclusion
- TV clip excerpts
● Edit an increasing flow of podcast episodes across a portfolio of about a dozen podcasts
● Handle breaking development workflows in a quick, concise and accurate timeline
● Create and modify template graphics for social media posts
● Multi-task and use various tools and software to get assignments done including multiple editing tools based on assignment and project deadline
● Be organized and follow best practices for media storage and project organization
● Be proactive and responsive to breaking developments, and have the ability to work independently as well as part of a team
● Be diligent in sourcing content and creating elements for your work; we have an extensive internal library of video and images as well as multiple sources to obtain content from.
● Deliver your content to multiple destinations, be familiar with various digital platforms and metadata requirements that are crucial for digital success
● Be on top of industry trends in video, animation and editing styles throughout digital media
● Be flexible with working hours to accommodate global production schedules and events.
● Be highly motivated, accurate and detail oriented in your work
● Have strong communication skills and collaborate across the team, working with the Research Content team specifically and the broader base of analysts and strategists around the globe.
You’ll need to have:
● Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
● At least 3 years of video and multimedia editing experience
● Demonstrated experience at an expert level with Adobe Creative Suite especially
○ Adobe Premiere
○ Adobe After Effects
○ Adobe Photoshop
○ Adobe Audition
● Experience working with cloud based editing tools
● Manage schedule with a global team
